The Penn State community will be celebrating Pride Month throughout April, with events sponsored by the Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity as well as a variety of additional programming across the University's campuses.
Penn State student organizations and units at campuses across the commonwealth are presenting programming during National Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Here’s a look at some of the events taking place at the University’s campuses during the month of April.
Lost Bird Project artist Todd McGrain will visit Penn State Altoona at 2:30 p.m. Friday, April 8, in the Slep Student Center. McGrain will discuss the great auk sculpture located at the reflecting pond on campus, answer questions about the project, and greet community members.
"The Lost Bird Project," which memorializes five extinct North American species, is an opportunity for Centre Region residents to learn about conservation efforts now and in the future with a series of public programs slated to take place throughout the spring.
Enrolled students who are noncompliant with the weekly required testing will lose access to Canvas until they become compliant. Continued noncompliance will result in additional disciplinary sanctions, up to and including conduct suspension upon the completion of a formal student conduct process.
Penn State Altoona will host a documentary screening about "The Lost Bird Project" at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 26, in the Slep Student Center. A question-and-answer session will take place afterward.
