Penn State Altoona to present Shakespeare spoof March 20 and 21

Penn State Altoona’s spring theatre production, “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) [revised] [again]” by Adam Long, Daniel Singer and Jess Winfield, directed by Mary Beth Geppert, will run March 20–21 at 7:30 p.m. in the Wolf Kuhn Theatre of the Misciagna Family Center for Performing Arts.

Penn State Altoona to present three one-act plays

Penn State Altoona will produce three one-act plays Nov. 7-8 in the Wolf Kuhn Theatre of the Misciagna Family Center for Performing Arts. “Fun,” by Howard Korder, and “Lives of the Great Waitresses,” by Nina Shengold, are directed by Leila McCrumb. “Hootie and the Good Pot” is written and directed by Aaron James with Adria (Jay) Schmidt serving as assistant director.

Penn State Altoona to present ‘They Call Me Q’ Sept. 4

Penn State Altoona will host a performance of "They Call Me Q" at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 4, in the Wolf Kuhn Theatre of the Misciagna Family Center for Performing Arts. "They Call Me Q" tells the story of a girl from Bombay growing up in the Boogie Down Bronx who gracefully seeks balance between cultural pressure and acceptance into the American culture.

"They Call Me Q" tells the story of a girl from Bombay growing up in the Boogie Down Bronx who gracefully seeks balance between cultural pressure and acceptance into American culture. Along the journey, Qurrat Ann Kadwani transforms into 13 characters that have shaped her life, including her Indian parents, Caucasian teachers, Puerto Rican classmates, and Indian and African-American friends.
